First Urdu law dictionary released.

'Kanoon Lugat', an Urdu law dictionary, billed as a first of its kind in the country, was released here today in the presence of legal luminaries.
The dictionary, encompassing 52,000 legal terms, has been translated in Urdu for the first time, said chief translator and Supreme Court advocate Muhammad Irshad Hanif, at a function here.

مہتمم کی شرعی حیثیت

حضرت مفتی عزیز الرحمن صاحب عثمانی رحمہ اللہ مفتی اول دار العلوم دیوبند، نے اپنے اس فتوی میں جو فتاوی دار العلوم دیوبند جلد 14 میں شائع ہوا ہے مہتمم کی شرعی حیثیت بیان کی ہے کہ مہتمم چندہ وصول کرلے گا تو وہ رقم معطی کی ملک سے نکل جائے گی یا نہیں ؟ پھر اسی  کے ضمن میں حضرت مفتی سعید احمد صاحب پالنپوری دامت برکاتہم شیخ الحدیث دار العلوم دیوبند، نے اس مسئلہ پر بھی روشنی ڈالی ہے کہ بغیر حیلہ تملیک کے ان رقوم کو مصارف طلبہ میں خرچ کیا جاسکتا ہے یا نہیں؟

Mumbai: The muezzin’s call for afternoon prayer gets a bit muffled in the bustling, noisy bazaar. But that doesn’t rob the Juma Masjid at Sheikh Memon Street near Crawford Market of its grandeur. The over 200-year-old mosque, arguably the city’s oldest Juma Masjid, whose two-storeyed structure sits on an ancient tank, was recently renovated and wears a fresh coat of paint that only serves to illumine its rich history.

HYDERABAD: Two rare copies of the Quran n penned by legendary calligrapher Yakut Al-Musta'simi along with his collection of five chapters of the holy book 'Panchsura' will be made available on the internet by the Salar Jung Museum soon.
